SCHOOL UNIFORM

Red/White polo shirts and red sweatshirts and cardigans, bearing the school logo, can be worn with grey trousers, skirts or pinafores. Joggers may be more suitable for younger children.  In warmer weather, grey shorts may be worn or red gingham dresses.

Remember school shoes/trainers should be plain back and not jazzy colours. Please bear this in mind when buying new school shoes.

Please note school policy on the wearing of jewellery to school by the children.

  • A watch may be worn.

  • For those children who have pierced ears. Small simple stud earrings may be worn.

  • For health and safety reasons, all watches must be removed for PE.

  • For health and safety reasons, earrings must be removed for PE. The children must remove their own earrings. Staff are not allowed to do this for them. If children cannot remove their own earrings, it would be wise for them not to be worn on PE days. If earrings cannot be removed for any reason then they should be taped over for PE days. Thank you in advance for your co-operation in the matter.

SCHOOL P.E. KIT

From Year 1 upwards, school PE tops are worn for both outdoor and indoor sessions. Again, these can be ordered through the A Class Apart and are chosen in the following house colours:

Rhyd- y-car = Green

Penrhiw = Yellow

Kennixton = Red

These should be worn with black plain shorts for indoor sessions or tracksuit bottoms and trainers for outdoor sessions. In order to promote healthy living and good hygiene, children are encouraged to change into and out of PE kit from Year 1 upwards and are not expected to wear their PE kit at any times other than during PE lessons and after-school clubs.

Ideally, pupils should bring a bag with full P.E. kit on a Monday and take it home on a Friday so that they are always ready for an impromptu P.E. lesson.
