As a church school, our Christian ethos is very important to us. Each half term, we have a new Christian value that we focus on through assemblies, class worship time and throughout the school day.
Trust is essential in human life and it is at the heart of our relationships with one another and with God. We are able to live in harmony when we know that we can trust those around us.
Below are some Bible verses and Bible stories that the children will be looking at based on this value...
Bible Verses about Trust
'When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?' Psalms 56 v 3-4

'Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God.' John 14 v 1

Our School Prayers
The Lord’s Prayer:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.
Our school prayer: ‘Dear God, thank you for our school where we are happy to love, learn and pray together. Sorry for all the wrong things we all do. Please help us to show justice in and out of our school. Amen.’
Welsh Diolch Prayer: ‘Diolch am ffrindiau, diolch am deulu, diolch am ysgol, diolch am fyd. Diolch am fwyd a diolch am gartref, Diolch i Dduw am bopeth o hyd. Amen’
United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC):
During worship, you could have discussions with your class on the following statements and think about how we should and could show Justice towards those who do not have these.
